Coffee comeback flavors, new caramel combinations and inspirations from both local and exotic destinations are trending in the ice cream cooler this year, according to Donna Berry, food scientist, editor of Berry on Dairy and presenter at IDFA’s Ice Cream Technology Conference, April 12-13 in Bonita Springs, Fla. These and other innovative flavors may be competing to earn top honors in IDFA’s Innovative Ice Cream Flavor Contest.

How will your newest flavor stack up?

Find out by entering your newest flavor innovations. This popular competition, sponsored by Dairy Foods magazine, offers the opportunity for ice cream makers and flavoring suppliers to showcase their latest ice cream flavors and novelties during the Ice Cream Technology Conference.

All attendees of the conference are invited to send one entry to compete in each of the three categories: Most Innovative Ice Cream Flavor, Most Innovative Ice Cream Novelty and Most Innovative Prototype Ice Cream Flavor. Awards will be given for first-, second- and third-place winners in each category judged by conference attendees, and all winners will be featured in an upcoming edition of Dairy Foods magazine.

To submit an entry, please complete and email the contest entry form by April 7, 2016 to Maria Velasco, IDFA meetings coordinator and registrar, at mvelasco@idfa.org.
