IDFA Responds to Member Requests for Assistance with SQF

Food retailers continue to drive demand for the new Safe Quality Foods (SQF) program, a comprehensive, third-party food safety and quality system offered by the Food Marketing Institute. In response to requests from members, IDFA has created an SQF Task Force to develop ways to help processors through the certification process. The task force will hold a kick-off conference call on May 12 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Member employees who are responsible for plant or corporate production or quality assurance are invited to join the task force and participate in the upcoming call.
