IDFA to Support rbST Absence Labeling at Ohio Public Hearing Jerry Slominski, IDFA senior vice president of legislative affairs, will testify this week at the Ohio Department of Agriculture and Food public hearing on the use of absence claims regarding rbST on product labels. Ohio has issued an emergency regulation that restricts the right of processors to market dairy products using truthful advertising and labels; the rule is in effect for 90 days while the department completes its rule-making process. The formal public hearing on Wednesday, March 12, is part of the rule-making process and will give stakeholders an opportunity to comment.
