Thank You, Washington Conference Sponsors and Attendees IDFA would like to thank the sponsors who helped to make last week's Washington Conference and 25th Annual Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party such a success. IDFA staff members offered 1,500 gallons of ice cream, frozen yogurt and sherbet topped with 44 cases of sundae syrups to an estimated 10,000 congressional leaders, their families and staff at this year's party. IDFA also would like to thank the conference attendees who made a total of 70 visits to Capitol Hill during the two-day conference. The attendees met with congressional leaders and staff to discuss the need to make the dairy forward contracting pilot program permanent, to appoint a commission to improve federal milk pricing policies, to repeal the dairy import assessment and to provide an improved dairy safety net with payments not tied to price or current production.
