Tipton Looks Ahead to 2007 Farm Bill in Guest Column In the December 29 issue of Cheese Market News, IDFA President and CEO Connie Tipton discusses a host of dairy policy options that might be included in the 2007 Farm Bill. "Expect the federal dairy programs to be up for debate," Tipton says, adding that food safety, environmental concerns and sustainable agricultural practices will also be addressed. She urges industry stakeholders to become proactive and work together to present meaningful dairy policy solutions to congressional leaders as they consider the new bill.
