Call for Nominations: IDFA 2005
Achieving Excellence Awards

(Washington, D.C. - October 14, 2004) To recognize the very best in dairy product marketing, the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and Dairy Field magazine are calling for entries for the 2005 Achieving Excellence Awards.

"The Achieving Excellence Awards recognize dairy processors for the innovative and creative ways they've promoted their products over the year," says Elayna McKenzie, director of local marketing for IDFA.

Awards will be announced and presented at a special ceremony conducted in conjunction with SmartMarketing 2005 in Atlanta on March 17, 2005.

New for this year is a discounted entry fee for submissions received by November 30, 2004. The final deadline for all entries is December 22, 2004. Dairy companies can choose among 60 different award categories, from TV ads to packaging design. All category winners are eligible to win the "Best Overall Award for Marketing Excellence," the top award for marketing and advertising in the dairy industry.

A leading panel of advertising, promotional and editorial experts from the dairy foods industry will choose this year's winners. Judging will be based on creativity, clarity of message and business results and will take place in January. Winners and all finalists will be notified prior to SmartMarketing 2005.
