Cintas Named Official Uniform Supplier
for International Dairy Foods Association

(Washington D.C. - January 7, 2002) Cintas Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS), a major player in the uniform rental and corporate identity apparel industry, has been named the official uniform supplier of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA). IDFA chose Cintas after an extensive review, including a tour of a Cintas laundry facility and the corporate headquarters. Cintas' microbe-inhibiting laundry process and the company's commitment to improving food sanitation were the primary reasons that IDFA selected Cintas.

"Cintas is a proven industry leader, and they run an impressive operation," said Gordon Brown, Ph.D, senior vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs at IDFA. "Cintas understands the food industry and the important role uniforms play in maintaining a sanitized work environment. They come highly recommended."

As the official uniform supplier, Cintas will assist IDFA members by providing free onsite assessments, making recommendations when necessary. Cintas also will highlight the importance of uniforms in improving food sanitation during selected IDFA workshops. Cintas will be responsible for supplying apparel at the IDFA's annual Dairy Forum and its Capitol Hill Ice Cream Party.

"Cintas works closely with the food processing industry to understand its needs and processes. This allows us to identify opportunities to reduce contamination and exposure to foodborne illness," said Bill Goetz, vice president of marketing and merchandising at Cintas. "As a result, Cintas has developed a specialized cleaning process to ensure maximum decontamination and sanitation for uniforms."

Cintas provides uniforms to individuals serving every aspect of the food industry, including lab technicians, chemists, grocers, packagers, clerks, chefs and servers. The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety Inspection Service is one of the customers Cintas serves in the food industry. The Food Safety Inspection Service is responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry and egg products are safe and correctly labeled and packaged. More than four million people wear Cintas uniforms daily.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Cintas Corporation is a leader in the uniform rental and corporate identity apparel industry and also provides a wide range of other business services, including entrance mats, sanitation supplies and first aid products and services. Cintas is a publicly held company. The company has achieved 32 consecutive years of growth in sales and earnings. Cintas recently was recognized as a "Moody's Dividend Achiever," one of "America's Finest Companies" as determined by the Staton Institute, and the No. 1 outsourcing services provider in Fortune Magazine's "America's Most Admired Companies." Cintas can be found on the Web at www.cintas.com.
