President Obama on Monday signed into law a small-business jobs bill passed by the Senate late last week. Unable to clear procedural hurdles, the bill was stuck on the Senate floor for months due to what the president referred to as "Republican stall tactics."

Passed 61-38, the bill cleared the 60-vote mark with the help of two Republican Senators, George Voinovich (R-OH) and George LeMieux (R-FL). The president specifically thanked them Monday, saying they "bucked this partisanship."

The president used the signing as opportunity to show his determination to support the business community and, specifically, small business. He touted the importance of the legislation, which includes various measures designed to cut taxes and boost lending for small business.
