How are leading dairy CEOs positioning their companies to succeed? Join your colleagues at Dairy Forum 2019, Jan. 20-23 in Orlando, Florida, to hear two dairy company CEOs talk about leading in today’s uncertain and challenging market. Beth Ford, president and CEO of Land O’Lakes, Inc., and Mariano Lozano, CEO of Danone North America, will share their companies’ pledges to consumers and farmers and explain how they are meeting market demands, building brands and finding ways to deliver profits.

In an interview this summer, Ford said she asks employees one question to stay on track: “Are we in touch and in alignment with what’s going on in the market?”

She said, “Once you’ve answered that question, you can identify points of weakness and turn them into business opportunities by bringing data-driven solutions to your problems.”

According to Lozano, positioning for prosperity means living the company story, energizing employees and engaging consumers along the way.

“I see my role here as being a constant reminder to people that we need to walk the talk. It’s a journey of inspiring the team. The first big impact is within the company: It drives a big level of pride,” he said, “and creates a level of engagement that is even higher than before.

The second is employer branding, attracting talent. More and more when we sit with young people we find that they’re very engaged in the story of our company, and we’d like to be seen by them as a company on a mission. That drives our attractiveness so that you can bring in talent that you couldn’t if you didn’t have this story to tell.”
