The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) imposes numerous supply chain requirements on domestic and foreign suppliers, as well as importers, yet it’s still not exactly clear what the Food and Drug Administration will expect from companies going forward. How can you be sure your company is in compliance?

Attendees at IDFA’s Regulatory RoundUP, June 5-6 in Washington, D.C., will hear from Jenny Scott, M.S., a senior advisor in FDA’s Office of Food Safety, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, who participated in drafting the recently released guidance related to the supply chain requirements. Scott also leads the FDA teams on the Preventive Controls for Human Food Rule and guidance.

The session, “Controlling Your Supply Chain: Meeting FSMA’s Requirements,” also will feature Ricardo Carvajal, attorney and director at Hyman, Phelps & McNamara, P.C., who advises food company clients on all points in the supply chain and the implementation of FSMA requirements. He’ll explain how to translate the guidance into action.
