IDFA this month welcomed Taylor Boone to its regulatory department as coordinator of regulatory affairs.

As coordinator, Boone will be responsible for helping to draft comments on regulatory issues and proceedings as well as supporting efforts of IDFA’s regulatory team, led by Cary Frye, senior vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs. The other team members are John Allan, vice president of regulatory affairs and international standards, and Emily Lyons, director of regulatory affairs and counsel.

Boone graduated in May from the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science and technology. In February, Boone was selected as one of 28 students nationwide to participate in the U.S Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Outlook Forum Student Diversity Program, which introduces students to contemporary agribusiness, trends, scientific research and agricultural policy.

She has also completed two internships with the University of Maryland, College Park, involving agriculture sciences and pesticide resistance in weeds.
