IDFA is offering a reprise of an important Dairy Forum discussion that members in attendance called “striking and alarming.” Be sure to join the member conference call on February 26 when Joseph Levitt of Hogan Lovells US LLP, IDFA’s outside counsel, will cover important information regarding implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act.

For sheer output and scope, nothing matches FSMA, the federal policy initiative that will impact every stakeholder in the dairy sector. IDFA now understands that important decisions have been made internally at the Food and Drug Administration regarding how FSMA will be implemented.

Levitt’s presentation will be a reprise of his talk to the Food Safety Operating Committee at Dairy Forum in late January. Participants at that meeting called his presentation both striking and alarming. “We urge all members to have a representative on the call,” said Clay Hough, IDFA senior group vice president and general counsel.

The conference call will be held February 26, 4-5 p.m. Eastern time. Members may login to access the call-in details.
