IDFA will join with the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance® (USFRA) to host an interactive dialogue on the impact of animal care issues on the dairy industry at Dairy Forum 2015. The Food Dialogues® bring together diverse opinions for dynamic panel discussions on today’s most pressing topics related to food and food production.

“Research shows that consumers consider animal care a critical factor when they select products to purchase and feed their families,” said Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO.  “We will dedicate 90 minutes at Dairy Forum to explore how U.S. livestock is raised and food is processed against growing consumer perceptions that often conflict with actual animal care and production practices. You won’t want to leave Dairy Forum until you’ve heard this panel.”

Panel to Provide the Perfect Finish

The Food Dialogues session will be held the last morning of Dairy Forum, January 28, and also streamed to thousands of participants during a live webinar. View video highlights of a recent Food Dialogues here.

Tipton participated as a panelist in a previous Food Dialogues session, held in Chicago this past summer, which focused on transparency in marketing.

“We are in a new communications world where messages and facts are no longer enough. We must show consumers what happens on farms and ranches, create experiences and demonstrate transparency,” said Randy Krotz, USFRA CEO. “It is important that the world knows how today’s food industry is committed to continually improving and building trust.”

Dairy Forum will be held January 25-28, 2015, at the Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Fla. The Food Dialogues will be held January 27, 9:20 to 11:00 a.m.
