Every dairy company and retailer wants the answer to one question above all others: What do consumers want? That question is followed closely by: What will consumers buy?

All businesses aim to satisfy their customers and provide them with products they are willing and eager to buy. To help dairy companies gain a better perspective of the consumer’s ever-changing tastes and desires, Dairy Forum 2014 will feature a consumer-oriented focus across much of the three-day program.

Many of the general and concurrent sessions will examine industry trends and issues from the consumer’s perspective. Some sessions will delve deep into consumer research, revealing interesting new data about consumer interests and trends. Others will look at how social media informs and motivates consumers, how animal care issues influence consumer buying habits, and how consumers are reacting to conflicting studies about milk fat.

Phil Lempert, The Supermarket Guru®, will present an engaging look at the latest research about consumer cravings and where they’re headed. Linda Eatherton, a partner with Ketchum Public Relations, will discuss consumer expectations regarding GMO labeling. In an exciting “sneak preview,” the Milk Processor Education Program will unveil its 2014 marketing campaign and the strategy to boost consumer interest in buying fluid milk.

Want to know what consumes consumers? Register now and consume as many sessions as you can at Dairy Forum, January 26-29, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, Calif.
