The Bryce Harlow Foundation will honor Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO, with one of its two prestigious annual awards. Tipton will receive the 2014 Business-Government Relations Award for her “significant contributions to the advocacy profession through a lifelong career as an exemplary role model.” The Bryce Harlow award, given for the advancement of business-government relations, will be awarded to Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).

The awards will be presented April 8, 2014, at the foundation’s annual event in Washington, D.C.

Tipton is a board member emeritus of the Bryce Harlow Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization that promotes the highest standards within the profession of lobbying and government relations. Its principal mission is education, helping teachers and students to understand the important role professional advocacy plays in the development of sound public policy.
