The Goodlatte-Scott Amendment gained eight co-sponsors on Monday, four Republicans and four Democrats, helping to spur its momentum as the House of Representatives readies for floor debate on the Farm Bill this week.

Joining the bill’s authors, Representatives Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and David Scott (D-GA), as co-sponsors are Mike Coffman (R-CO), Chris Collins (R-NY), Diana DeGette (D-CO), Sean Duffy (R-WI), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Jim Moran (D-VA) and Jared Polis (D-CO).

As of Tuesday, June 18, the amendment had gained two additional co-sponsors, Representatives Barbara Lee (D-CA) and Pete Sessions (R-TX).
