IDFA and the Milk Processor Education Program this week became the most recent associate members of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, a CEO-led organization driving a national, multi-year effort to help reduce obesity, especially among children, by 2015. Working together in the marketplace, the workplace and schools, foundation members promote ways to help people achieve a healthy weight by balancing calories consumed as part of a healthy diet with calories expended through physical activity.

The coalition brings together more than 130 retailers, food and beverage manufacturers, restaurants, sporting goods and insurance companies, trade associations and professional sports organizations. Here are the current lists of company members and associate members or partners.

"IDFA is proud to promote the vast array of nutrient-dense dairy products that our members provide as part of a healthy diet for all Americans," said Connie Tipton, IDFA president and CEO. "We want to be part of the solution to childhood obesity and look forward to working with coalition members to promote healthy eating habits and encourage physical activity for a healthier America."
