The Agricultural Marketing Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture republished yesterday its final decision on a new definition for Class I milk under Federal Order regulations to correct a minor error. As a result, the 30-day period for conducting a producer referendum in each marketing area has been pushed back.

IDFA now expects the decision, once passed and adopted, will likely be implemented no sooner than September 1. Background details on the decision are available in "USDA Issues Final Rule Defining Class I Products."
