IDFA Disappointed with Collapse of Global Trade Talks in Geneva

Aug 04, 2008

"U.S. dairy food manufacturers are deeply disappointed that promising efforts to improve international trade opportunities appear to have ended with the collapse of the World Trade Organization's Doha Round negotiations," Clay Hough, IDFA senior group vice president, said in a statement released by IDFA last week. In the statement, Hough expressed IDFA's appreciation for the efforts of Susan Schwab, U.S. trade representative, and her negotiating team, and said, "We look forward to continued collaboration."
