Process for Updating Nutritional Standards for Milk Sold at Schools

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has federal oversight responsibility for the National School Breakfast Program, which feeds 10 million children each day, and the National School Lunch Program, which feeds more than 30 million students a day. School meal programs are a partnership between USDA, state agencies and local schools, and USDA works with schools and communities to ensure that the meals served are consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
