Food Organizations, Including IDFA, Want Japan to Join TPP Talks
IDFA and more than 60 food and agricultural organizations last week urged the Obama administration to work quickly with Japan to smooth the way for Japan's full participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. In letters to U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, the organizations commended the two departments for the ongoing progress in the complicated talks and emphasized their support for including Japan in future negotiations.
