Skotidakis Goat Farm First to be Listed Under NCIMS Pilot Program
Skotidakis Goat Farm in Ontario, Canada, has become the first company to be listed under the Grade A International Certification pilot program, which was extended at the National Conference of Interstate Milk Shipments conference earlier this year. NCIMS agreed to extend the pilot program to evaluate whether private certifiers can be used instead of state regulators to effectively inspect and rate dairy farms and plants against Grade A standards. The program was extended for two years and will use three private certifying companies to inspect and rate international dairy plants. Skotidakis Goat Farm, an IDFA member, produces cheese and yogurt.
