State News: IDFA Urges Tennessee Governor to Veto Raw Milk Bill
IDFA last week sent a letter to Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen asking him to veto a bill that would expand access to raw milk through cow sharing. In the letter, IDFA highlighted the dangers of consuming unpasteurized milk and warned that the bill could harm the state's dairy industry. In Kansas, the House voted to remove the rbST labeling requirement from H.B. 2121 after the governor vetoed the bill last month. More details and IDFA's updated chart of state legislation related to dairy are available to members here.
