Milk Income Loss Contract
The 2008 Farm Bill extended the Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) direct subsidy program for dairy farmers through September 30, 2012. Rather than continue another layer of government subsidies, IDFA calls for the 2012 Farm Bill to replace MILC with a more unified, market-oriented approach to dairy policy.
