Webinar: Microbiological Testing Innovations for Dairy Plants

October 12, 2011 @ 2:00-3:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Overview

Pathogen testing is an important part of any Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.  Balancing accurate results with rapid turn around time is ideal for a testing platform.  The iQ-Check range of real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) pathogen detection kits (Bio-Rad’s trademark test kits) will be presented in this webinar, with a focus on Listeria, Salmonella and Cronobacter (formerly Enterobacter sakazakii).

This webinar will address:

  • How iQ-Check will allow for quicker release of product by cutting enrichment time down to 24 hours for all tests, including Listeria.
  • The technology behind the real-time PCR kits and how increased sensitivity and specificity will provide you with accurate results and decreased the need for further testing.
  • How the iQ-Check platform was implemented in a contract laboratory focused on dairy testing and how this lab was able to increase productivity while providing superior results to their customers.

Please join us for this webinar to learn how implementing real-time PCR detection of pathogens into your HACCP plan could benefit your operation.

Presenters

  • Michael Clark, laboratory director, Chestnut Labs; and
  • Wendy Lauer, senior product manager, Food Science Division, Bio-Rad Laboratories.
