SQF Plant Recertification, Withdrawal or Suspension - Which will it be for your dairy plant?
Attend the upcoming IDFA SQF Practitioner Workshop scheduled for September 28 - 30, 2010 to update your knowledge, learn the details of the new audit scoring system and absorb practical methods so your plant's "odds" move toward being recertified.
Many dairy companies obtained their initial SQF plant certification in 2008 under the 5th Edition of the SQF 200 Code for food plants. In addition, many SQF Practitioners responsible for the implementation and ongoing application of the SQF 2000 Code were trained and certified in 2008 under the old 5th Edition of the SQF 2000 Code. The results are an SQF knowledge gap for these SQF Practitioners that could jeopardize their plant's 2010 SQF recertification. It is clear that so far this year, SQF auditors have been more stringent in their identification of non-conformities. This combined with outdated training and knowledge of some SQF Practitioners has already resulted in dairy plants either having their SQF certification withdrawn or reduced to a 6 month "Surveillance Audit." Take advantage of this workshop on implementation of the SQF 2000 Code, 6th Edition, to improve your plant's "odds" at being recertified.
IDFA's SQF Certified Practitioner Workshop for Dairy and Juice Products utilizes the latest Safe Quality Food Institute's (SQFI) training material, plus our own extensive experience with dairy and juice HACCP training, to provide comprehensive instruction on the implementation of SQF 2000 Code (Edition #6) requirements for dairy and juice processing plants.
The workshop is designed to meet the training and certification requirements established by SQFI for Certified Practitioners. Successful completion of this workshop will provide participants with a certificate attesting to their knowledge of the SQF 2000 Code and will prepare them for the on-line SQFI exam. Successful completion of the exam will allow individuals to print out their official SQF Practitioner certificate with its unique identifying number.
SQF is one of four food safety and auditing systems recognized by the independent Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) that is being mandated by many U.S. food retailers for their suppliers.
