Information Session: 'Traceability for Dairy, Deli and Bakery U.S. Implementation Guide'

November 29, 2012 @ 2:00 p.m. Eastern time

The dairy, deli and bakery industries are working collaboratively to address product traceability challenges not only to improve food safety for consumers, but also to streamline business processes throughout the supply chain—by leveraging GS1 Standards.

Learn more about the traceability guidance being developed by IDFA, the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association and GS1 US during this free information session.

During the session, the following topics will be reviewed:

  • Purpose of the guide,
  • Traceability principles,
  • Item- and case-level traceability practices and requirements, and
  • Applications of future and existing technologies.

The draft copy of the "Traceability for Dairy, Deli & Bakery U.S. Implementation Guide" was developed with input from a wide range of industry representatives. This session will provide participants the opportunity to provide additional feedback and endorsement for final publication.

Who should attend? Representatives from food safety, warehousing, operations, supply chain and other related functions are encouraged to participate.

Join us for this session to collaborate with industry peers and voice your opinion. A copy of the guide will be sent after registration has been completed. For more information, contact Jeff Cowan at GS1 U.S., (609) 620-8043 or at jcowan@gs1us.org.
