Overview

Offered only once a year, IDFA's Milk Procurement Workshop provides an overview of dairy industry trends, policy and pricing basics with a focus on understanding milk price regulation, including how farm milk is priced both inside and outside the Federal Milk Marketing Order System.

Milk processors, cheese makers, frozen dessert marketers, butter manufacturers, nonfat dry milk manufacturers and other dairy industry professionals are welcome to attend this information-packed workshop at the InterContinental O'Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

The 2013 Milk Procurement Workshop will be held at the InterContinental O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.  Conveniently located, The InterContinental O'Hare is just minutes from O'Hare International Airport. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service that departs from the hotel. Additionally, it is only blocks from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont Theatre, and the Blue Line "EL" trains providing service to downtown Chicago.

2. Why should I attend the Milk Procurement Workshop?
IDFA's Milk Procurement Workshop is an annual event that is designed to provide an in-depth look at the structure of the dairy industry and how dairy pricing mechanisms work. This workshop will provide dairy industry professionals with a fundamental knowledge of all regulatory pricing mechanisms and show how these mechanisms affect company operations in today's marketplace.

3. Who attends the Milk Procurement Workshop?
The intended audience for the workshop includes milk processors, cheese makers, frozen dessert marketers, butter manufacturers, nonfat dry milk manufacturers and others working in the dairy industry.

4. Will there be exhibits?
No, there are no exhibits for this event.

5. Which hotel has been reserved? What is the rate?
The Milk Procurement Workshop will be held at the InterContinental O'Hare in Rosemont, IL. IDFA has a special room rate of $139 per night.

9. What is the registration fee?
The price of the Milk Procurement Workshop registration fee is based on membership. If you are a member, the registration fee is $895, and if you are not a member, the fee is $1,095. If you have questions about membership, send an email to membership@idfa.org.

10. What does my registration fee include?
Your registration fee includes two continental breakfasts, lunch both days, and coffee breaks. You will also receive conference materials with printed PowerPoint presentations from each of the sessions.

11. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation for your registration via email. It will contain detailed information about this year's Milk Procurement Workshop.

12. What is the registration cancellation/refund policy?
Full refunds will be granted for written cancellations received up to three weeks before the meeting. Cancellations received one to three weeks before the meeting will be eligible for a 50 percent refund. No registration refunds will be granted after March 13, 2013. All cancellations must be received in writing. Substitutions may be made without penalty.

13. I am a member of the news media, do you have press registration?
Yes. The registration fee for media is $350.

14. Are there any airfare discounts?
