Introduction to Dairy Policies and Regulatory Programs
Dairy farms and processing plants must meet many stringent regulations, so "the basics" in this industry are far from basic. This session is designed to be a primer on federal and state regulations that govern this industry, as well as a review of US international trade policy commitments.

1. When is the Dairy Industry Orientation Webinar Series being held?
The series will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, and Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.
2. What is an IDFA Webinar Series?
An IDFA Webinar Series is a series of short seminars conducted via conference call and online presentation. You'll listen to the presenter via the call, while viewing the slides online. Our presenter will be able to highlight important points and answer questions via the Internet. These seminars will be offered in a series format covering three sessions over two weeks.
This series will run for three, two-hour sessions. Registration for the Webinar Series provides you access to all three sessions.
The seminars are delivered over the telephone for reliable and clear sound quality. PowerPoint presentations will be accessed online during the seminars. All slides from the presentations can be easily downloaded for future reference. The question-and-answer session provides an opportunity for you to ask questions as well as hear questions relating to issues that you may be currently facing or facing in the future.
3. Who participates in the Dairy Industry Orientation Webinar Series?
All dairy professionals who are new to the industry or who want to expand their knowledge of the industry, including professionals in sales and marketing, legislative affairs, procurement, research and development, and plant operations.

8. What is the registration fee?
The Dairy Industry Orientation Webinar Series registration fee is based on membership. If you are a member, the registration fee is $495, and if you are not a member, the fee is $595. If you have questions about membership, send an email to membership@idfa.org.
9. What does my registration fee include?
Your registration fee includes participation in the webinar series and access to the webinar slides on all three days.
10. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation for your registration via email. It will contain detailed information about this year's Dairy Industry Orientation Webinar Series.
11. What is the registration cancellation/refund policy?
Full refunds will be granted for written cancellations received up to three weeks before the webinar. Cancellations received by November 22, 2012 will be eligible for a 50 percent refund. No refunds will be granted after November 22, 2012. All cancellations must be received in writing. Substitutions may be made without penalty.
