National Cheese Institute Laureate Award

Honoring Leaders for Significant Contributions to Cheese Industry

The 2010 NCI Laureate Award winner is Mark Johnson, Ph.D. and senior scientist at the Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison. The award was presented to Johnson during a luncheon ceremony at the IDFA’s Dairy Forum 2010 in Phoenix, Ariz.

The NCI Laureate Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth of the industry. Past winners of the NCI Laureate Award include Larry Ferguson, John Jeter, Mark Davis, Wes Allen, Elmer Marth, Max Gonzenbach, Rudy Nef, Betsy Holden, Don Menzner, Don Storhoff, Lester Kielsmeier, Hans Epprecht, Norm Olson, Vince Zehren, Jack Budahn, Leonard Gentine Sr., Raymond Goldbach, Harold Steinke, John Nelson, Dave Nusbaum and Jerome Schuman.

A call for 2011 nominations will be announced this fall.
