The Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year Award
Recognizing Progressive Dairy Producers

Nominations are now being accepted for the title of the Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year, an annual award co-sponsored by IDFA and Dairy Today magazine. The winner will be honored at the 2010 Dairy Forum, January 17-21 at the Arizona Biltmore & Spa in Phoenix. The deadline for nominations is October 10, 2009, and there is no entry fee. Now entering its 12th year, this award honors active U.S. dairy farms that, through their adoption of management practices and production technologies, have improved economic efficiency and milk quality, and have demonstrated innovative approaches to milk marketing. Nominees are judged on current on-farm cost-effective methods and their positioning for future growth and success.
High Plains Dairy of Friona, Texas, was named the 2009 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year, co-sponsored by IDFA and Dairy Today magazine. Owner Harry DeWit received the award at IDFA’s Dairy Forum 2009, January 11-14, in Orlando, Fla. More details.
